Building resilient communities in East Coast Malaysia

The emergency help program targets the flood victims of Manek Urai town in Kelantan, especially on families with young children.

The heartbreaking flood situation that unfolded in East Coast Malaysia in December 2014 was a date Malaysians would forever remember. With sights of ruined houses, shops, mosques, and trapped villagers, our team had planned an emergency help initiative in helping to create community resilience which allows for recovery of the Manek Urai community after the flood disaster.

The initiative included the gathering of jeeps and several of our trucks loaded with necessity goods that were to be delivered to the flood victims who have lost everything while fleeing. Our team was posed with various challenges such as heavy downpours and selecting a viable route as most roads leading to the Manek Urai destination were heavily flooded.

With support from Multi Cargo Group, we have been able to support the community of Manek Urai.

Covid-19 Response in Sabah (Medical Association of Sabah)

Humanitarian logistics involves the organizing the warehousing of supplies during natural disasters or complex emergencies.

 

As COVID-19 has adversely impacted the demand and supply of various supply chains and new daily records of COVID-19 cases in Sabah, in December 2020, the Medical Association of Sabah had collaborated with Multi Cargo Express Sdn Bhd as our warehousing facilities were used in the packaging and storing of new pillows for COVID patients in West Malaysia.

Our team fully supports our brave medical front-liners in the fight to stop and mitigate
the spread of COVID-19.

Impacting lives whenever opportunity knocks

Giving back to our community has always been hugely important to us as our strength has always been our community. Over the years, our dedicated employees and team had contributed to our society by initiating several collaborations with independent organizations. We believe that the sense of unity and teamwork that arises from volunteering activities benefit both the community and us.
